"Staunch Alliance has received tremendous support from students and the public for the Alliance's tertiary policy, and today we see more proof that the Alliance is the only choice left for tertiary education," said Julie Fairey, National Co-Spokesperson for Staunch Alliance, the youth and student wing of the Alliance Party.
An NZUSA survey released today shows that 80% of NZers support the Alliance's policy of universal student allowances.
"The Alliance has advocated for universal allowances ever since its creation," said Fairey. "We are also the only party serious about preventing the mountain of student debt (currently $5B) from growing, by bringing tertiary fees to zero over three years and ensuring proper funding for tertiary education."
"A Party Vote for the Alliance will be a vote for universal student allowances, for education, and for the future of NZ," said Fairey.
