The Treaty: Lawyers, Huis & Long Lunches

Published: Mon 1 Jul 2002 03:35 PM
Libertarianz leader Russell Watkins is stunned over how much money New Zealanders are throwing away on "politically correct state-sponsored apartheid. Libertarianz can now reveal how much of your cash is being wasted on lawyers, huis and long lunches," says Watkins.
In a recent letter to a concerned taxpayer, Michael Cullen's office admitted how many taxpayer dollars Labour is wasting on Treaty of Waitangi claims. Let us quote Michael Cullens office: "In the eight years that the settlement process has been in operation, the Government has averaged payments to Treaty claimants of around $50 million per annum".
"So in other words, every year, Labour gives away $50 Million of your money, to buy treaty votes", says an aghast Mr Watkins.
He continues with another quote from Michael Cullen's office: "Around $20 million will go towards the operation of the settlement process (this meets the costs of the Office of Treaty Settlements, the Crown Law Office and the Waitangi Tribunal)".
So, explains Watkins, "$20 Million of the hard-earned dollars you pay annually to support this racist process is being wasted further on administration costs - just to do the paper shuffling for these spurious Treaty claims".
"This is YOUR money," says Watkins. "That's 200,000 $100.00 lunches; or 200,000,000 photocopies; or the leases on 1700 high quality cars for a year for the lawyers involved - each and every year!"
"What have these people been doing apart from pushing their state-sponsored apartheid agenda, and wasting New Zealanders money? - Nothing!", scorns Watkins.
"The Treaty of Waitangi is a millstone around the necks of all New Zealanders, it promotes state-sponsored Apartheid, and it should be abolished!"
It's enough to make you vote Libertarianz !
