General Secretary Marty Braithwaite today welcomed the registration of the Progressive Coalition by the Electoral Commission.
"I was rung late this afternoon and given the news. I am pleased that objections to the name and the logo were set aside, as we were confident they would be.
"The party is now officially Jim Anderton's Progressive Coalition until the election, after which it will become the Progressive Coalition.
"It is now full steam ahead as we work towards the election," said Marty Braithwaite.
The party list will be announced at the end of June.
