Mana Maori Movement To Host Art Auction And Music Show In Hamilton On July 20th.
“The Mana Maori Movement (MMM) will hold a pre-election show honouring Maori artists and musicians,” says Tainui electorate candidate Angeline Greensill.
While other parties squabble over their latest policies and make a series of new broken promises, candidates of MMM will be focussing their attention on enjoying a night of celebration with the community.
It is expected that members from throughout the country will attend the event which will fundraise monies to support MMM’s political campaign and attain top-market prices for the Maori artists who will be submitting works for auction. The auction is to include the works of Theresa Reihana who has painted four new works capturing four of the core philosophies of Mana Maori: Rangatiratanga, Matauranga, Arohatanga, Maramatanga.
A number of secret celebrity guests are to host the art auction and music show that is being held at the beautiful Gallagher Concert Chamber, at the Academy of Performing Arts at Waikato University. Three hundred tickets are being sold for $25 each. Call (07) 846-1252.
