Follow the Leader – or else.

Published: Tue 18 Jun 2002 08:15 PM
Labour's "follow the leader" website, in true Helengrad style, tries to force its agenda on anyone who sees it, say youth group ACTivists.
ACTivists President, Gavin Middleton, said "however a visitor to the site chooses to answer the questions posed, the only option is to vote in the way that Labour has dictated. When you reach the end of the quiz, a beaming, airbrushed Helen greets you with softly spun socialism."
"The site is typical of the Labour government. Layers of focus-grouped spin cast a veil over the real truth – that under Labour you have no choice but to follow the path Red Helen sets."
"The site asks visitors to tell Labour what we look for in a leader. As usual with this government, we're only allowed to say what Labour wants to hear. It's barely a step removed from George Orwell's 'Animal Farm', where 'Comrade Napoleon is always right'."
"Helen Clark just doesn't get it - not everyone is content to blindly follow her. Take away the leader and what does Labour have? Not everyone wants to be shunted into the same personality cult" Gavin Middleton said
