Ethics 'Nobody's Business But Your Own!'

"Why not sack the whole council?" asked Peter Osborne, the Libertarianz associate spokesman for Education Deregulation, following the outcome of the judiciary inquiry clearing the ex head of the Teachers Council, Kath Irwin, of any wrongdoing.
In response to Mr Mallard's view that "the council is the flagship for teachers' ethics" Mr Osborne describes this as "hogwash!" He went on to say "The Teachers Council is merely Mr Mallard's mouth piece, pushing the minister's ethics." Mr Osborne explains this point by drawing attention to the compulsory nature of New Zealand’s education system. He says: "While Nanny State holds the big stick over all educational facilities - thereby removing the freedom of choice from schools, teachers, parents and pupils - teachers' ethics will always be bought into question, as they won’t be allowed to hold any ethics except the minister's."
Mr Osborne sums up by saying "The State has no legitimate role in education. In a Libertarian society the choice of ethics and morals would be left up to the parents and pupils who would be able to choose the educational facilities that reflected their own needs. This can only be achieved in a completely free educational market."
It's enough to make you vote Libertarianz!
