Interim Restriction Order For Film Visitor Q

"An interim restriction order has been made by the President of the Film and Literature Board of Review in respect to the showing of the video or film Visitor Q, until the full Board has had the opportunity to review the decision of the Classification Office in respect to the classification of the publication. Pursuant to s 51 of the Films, Videos and Publications Act 1993 this order shall remain in force only until the Board reviews the publication or one of the factors in s 51 (2) of the Act is activated".
The successful applicant for the interim restriction order was the Society for Promotion of Community Standards Inc. which has been granted leave to appeal the classification decision made by the Office of Film & Literature Classification on the film "Visitor Q".
