New Zealanders welcomed the arrival on Friday of Her Majesty The Queen and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh on
Her Majesty's 10th visit to New Zealand.
Regrettably the visit is short, and there will be few opportunities for public participation. The visit will however
provide an opportunity to mark the Golden Jubilee of The Queen's Accession to the Throne.
The loyalty of the people of New Zealand to the Crown remains unchanged, despite the vain efforts of a handful of
republican agitators.
