Sowry Supports Cancer Atrocity

PRESS RELEASE from Libertarianz Wednesday, 7 November, 2001
Sowry Supports Cancer Atrocity
"Roger Sowry's limp comments about the waiting time for radiotherapy in state-run hospitals are indicative of his party's unwillingness to dismantle the public health system," said Libertarianz health deregulation spokesman Richard McGrath today.
"The National socialists won't support any significant moves toward the further privatisation of health, because they're largely responsible for the waiting lists that threaten the lives of cancer patients."
"Roger Sowry has lost sight of the fact that when the cost of medical treatment is paid for with other people's money, everyone will want to milk the system for all it's worth. But with health care rationed, of course there will be queues and waiting times.
"Either Mr Sowry endorses the crumbling Sovietised health care establishment and merely wants to tweak it and give it a new name, or he wants it dumped and replaced with... nothing, as my party does.
"As I have said many times before, an individual is the best person to decide what level of medical treatment he wants and can afford. When the earnings, dreams and aspirations of one person must be sacrificed to the perceived needs of some one else, the first is a slave to the second. Does Mr Sowry want to perpetuate this injustice, or does he believe, as my party does, that socialised medicine is fundamentally evil?"
