National gears up for election
National Party President, Michelle Boag, today announced the appointment of Tina Symmans, as Director of Communications for the Election Campaign.
"Since assuming the role of President, I have been determined to attract highly talented people to the Party.
"Tina Symmans has a background in corporate communications and extensive experience in politics. Tina's career has spanned advertising, marketing, and government lobbying and she has earned the reputation for managing complex, strategic and, at times, high profile corporate issues," Ms Boag said in Wellington.
The full time role of Communications Director will be based at National Party Headquarters and Tina will take up her position next week after completing a move from Auckland.
"The ability for the Leader's Office and the Party to work as seamless team is one of the critical factors in running a successful campaign. The combined talents and skills of the team we now have in the Leader's Office and the Party I believe will be formidable," said Ms Boag.
