Power Saving Tips From Libz

Libertarianz spokesman Richard McGrath has some suggestions for our politicians, following Pete Hodgson's panic-mongering over possible power shortages.
"Firstly, the MPs who were recently given luxury sound systems and widescreen televisions should unplug them, return them and refund the taxpayer.
"Secondly, parliament should only convene during the warmer months so that the electric power for the Legislative Chamber and Beehive could be turned off over the winter.
"Come to think of it, why not sell off Parliament Buildings along with all the other government owned real estate in Wellington? The politicians could have their meetings in a hired hall, and most bureau-rats could be tipped out and asked to find productive work like the rest of us.
"So, could the last one out of the Beehive please switch the lights off?"
