After urgent meetings last night between PSA and CPS representatives, suspended probation officers will be reinstated
and all other staff will return to work today.
PSA National Secretary Richard Wagstaff said that “we have negotiated a proposal that sees suspended staff back on the
job, and includes measures to address PSA concerns around safety, management practice and the pay system.”
“Probation workers will attend PSA meetings throughout NZ at 11.00 am this morning to consider a new proposal to end the
dispute”. Said Richard Wagstaff.
CPS Staff across NZ walked off the job for three full days in protest at staff suspension and in support of a new
Collective Agreement.
“If our members ratify the new proposal then the industrial action will be over. If however, they reject it, we expect
more suspensions and a continuation of the dispute” said Richard Wagstaff
