"A Hamilton teenager dies from inhaling the contents of a fly spray can, so the coroner recommends bigger warning labels
on the cans! This is outrageous - Gordon Matenga should be removed from office forthwith," said Libertarianz spokesman
Richard McGrath.
"Surely the question that needs asking is not how big the warning labels were, but just where this girl's guardians were
while she was sniffing the fly spray," McGrath added. "It is they, and not fly spray manufacturers, that should be
brought to account for her death."
"Why weren't they supervising this girl properly? Why did no-one notice the empty fly spray cans under her bed? And why
has it become fashionable to blame inanimate objects when parental negligence lies at the root of this tragedy?"
