PRD (Peoples Democratic Party) whose background includes working with Nike workers and evaluating programmes for street

~ SUN, 29 April - commemoration of the signing of Te Tiriti o Waitangi in Port Nicholson. Wellington Tenths Trust and
Network Waitangi Wellington have prepared an information kit on this historic event; as the date falls on a Sunday this
year, the kit will be dedicated at a service at 10am, in Trinity Church, Newtown (beside the Newtown Union Health
Service) and a display of the kit will be at the Newtown Library during the following week. The contents include the
story of the signing - the chiefs who signed, where, why and the significance of that for today; stories of descendants
both Mäori and Päkehä; a copy of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, including the 'Port Nicholson' page; heritage tour information
and a self-drive trip around Whanganui-a-tara harbour; and where groups can go for other resources. If you would like

* Free training for Wellington women during May and August 2001 - training for women, topics include: communication
skills; the Treaty of Waitangi; homophobia; working in collectives; rape, women and the legal system; rape and sexual
abuse and more. Wellington Independent Rape Crisis will be running two training sessions this year; they are free,
comprehensive and heaps of fun. Guaranteed to be challenging, each session is for five evenings and two weekends. The

Consedine, Ruth Dyson MP, Diane O’Keefe from Finsec and Wayne Butson - General Secretary RMTU; 1200 noon, one minute
silence to remember all workers killed on all jobs, then release of black balloons representing those workers, a
representative from Faithful and Burt families will lay a wreath and a memorial tree will be planted. 12-30pm,
