Libz Taunt May Day Misanthropists
"The anti-capitalist and anti-reason rally planned for May Day is a futile gesture by the latest apologists for anti-human communism," said Libertarianz spokesman Richard McGrath today.
"These people oppose -- as does Libertarianz -- environmental devastation, wars and forced labour. Yet they wrongly associate such misery with the capitalist system of free markets, voluntary interaction and reward for individual excellence. Have they forgotten how terrible life was in the polluted, backward East German socialist paradise, whose inhabitants were condemned to a grey life behind the Berlin Wall, cut off from freedom by shoot-to-kill border guards and vicious, snarling dogs?"
"In their private lives, the local May Day inactivists enjoy lots of shiny modern Western conveniences, including the personal computers and internet via which they make their opinions known," McGrath noted. "Shouldn't they be shunning consumer items that are invented, developed, marketed and sold by the sort of people they claim to despise so much?"
"The inactivists are fortunate indeed they are not planning to air their anti-government views in countries such as China and North Korea. They would very likely be shot by the very butchers that Comrade Helen Clark has busied herself lately sucking up to."
Libertarianz plan to have their own activists on the streets on May 1st opposing the anti-capitalists, and upholding instead the values of reason, individualism, and capitalism. Contact: organon@ihug.co.nz for details.
