“Remove Business’ Shackles” -Libz

Published: Fri 20 Oct 2000 02:24 PM
“As Michael Cullen’s financially lame chickens continue to come home to roost, the Helengrad government continues to search for a way out of the mire,” notes Libertarianz Leader Peter Cresswell. ”Next Tuesday’s ‘Business Summit’ continues their desperate ‘charm offensive’ on business - which most businessmen have certainly found offensive, when they have not found it laughable.”
“There is one result from Tuesday’s talkfest that may actually have some positive effect though,” says Cresswell. “That is if businessmen tell government to get out of their way, to leave them free to prosper, to produce, and to create new jobs; in short that government launch a frontal assault on the taxes and regulations that shackle business.”
“Only thus will we see a turn around in this country’s fortunes. Only when businessmen are free to function will NZ be free of the mire. New Zealand’s businessmen are the Atlas who carry this country on their shoulders,” says Cresswell. “This government needs to be told to free up their load. Next Tuesday provides just such an opportunity”
