West Coast, Tax Free

West Coast, Tax Free
As the Buller District Council today considers grasping at the govt's $120 million tax-paid bribe, Libertarianz Leader Peter Cresswell suggests they consider instead a novel and more honest alternative.
"Rather than take the $120 million from the taxpayer," suggests Cresswell helpfully, "why does the Council not demand instead the return of the money in the form of tax credits; why not show they recognise that taxation itself represents one of the main hurdles for business development and advocate that the West Coast becomes a tax free zone for an infinite period?"
"If that does not fuel development on the West Coast," he says, "then nothing will!. And if this govt is indeed concerned with business development, they might consider extending the idea to the rest of the country."
