Poll Shows Kiwis Won't Come Home
An internet poll has shown that New Zealanders who have left New Zealand will not return following the election of a Labour/Alliance government.
The latest poll on the Prebble's Rebels website at http://www.rebels.org.nz asked "Would you come back from overseas to live under a Labour/Alliance government?" Out of 181 voters, 59% indicated that they would stay away from New Zealand, while 40% said that they would return home. Very few respondents did not know whether they would come back to New Zealand or stay overseas.
Rebel Webmaster, Gavin Middleton, said that the poll showed New Zealanders would not come flocking home to the Deputy Prime Minister's welcoming arms.
Mr Middleton asked "why should successful Kiwis overseas come back to be punished by the left's high taxes? Punishing intelligent, hardworking, creative New Zealanders by taking more of their income to spend on bureaucrats is hardly an incentive to remain in the country"
"It is a shame that the government seems intent on driving people with skills and knowledge away from our shores."
The new poll question on the Prebble's Rebels site asks "Is socialism the ideology of tomorrow?"
