Winston Trades Policy For Personal Abuse
Thursday 18th Nov 1999
Richard Prebble
Media Release -- Economy
ACT Leader Hon Richard Prebble today said Winston Peters had no economic policy and instead had to resort to personal abuse to fill up the time at his economic policy launch.
"Winston Peters was a disaster as Treasurer. The economy is only just starting to recover from his erratic reign. There is nothing in Winston's statement today to suggest he has changed.
"Instead of worrying about ACT's strong campaign and sound economic policy, Mr Peters should get on with putting an economic policy together, putting the numbers behind it out for independent analysis and having another go at releasing it.
"Winston Peters realises that his support is disappearing. He knows that ACT's policies with fresh, new answers on the Treaty, welfare, law and order and tax are gaining strong support," said Hon Richard Prebble.
