ACT Agrees With Employers On Holidays Act

Published: Wed 27 Oct 1999 04:00 PM
ACT Finance Spokesman Rodney Hide today said ACT agreed with the country's employers that the Holidays Act is outdated, inflexible and must be changed as an urgent priority.
"ACT is disappointed that National hasn't got on with changing the Act since sacking New Zealand First.
"Simpson Grierson's major employer survey on the Holiday's Act released today showing overwhelmingly that employers want the outdated Act changed also shows just how out of touch Labour and the Alliance with what's needed to cut the red tape that's stopping our businesses from growing and employing more staff," said Rodney Hide.
