ACT Leader Richard Prebble has hailed Time magazine's choice of two ACT figures in Time's '100 Most Influential People
of the South Pacific'.
ACT President Sir Roger Douglas is profiled for his ground-breaking work in the deregulation of the New Zealand economy,
while ACT education spokesman Donna Awatere Huata is included for her lifetime commitment to Maori rights.
Mr Prebble says it is not surprising that two ACT members should be included in a judgement on the 100 most influential
people in the South Pacific.
"History will show the significance of ACT's far-sighted and compassionate decisions, taken by people who are not afraid
to be true leaders," Mr Prebble said.
