The Wool Board is still indulging in petty games of self preservation rather than focusing on the needs of the wool
industry, says ACT rural spokesman Owen Jennings.
"There has been some confusion about the costs of the so-called independent review of the Wool Board," Mr Jennings said.
"The $1.7 million cost of the review now appears to be Australian dollars, not New Zealand dollars. And despite
promoting it as an independent review, it is clear from internal Board documents that the Wool Board had no intention of
releasing control of the project and its funding.
"Growers should vote at tomorrow's meeting to support the no confidence motion even if they want to continue with the
review," Mr Jennings said.
