ACT New Zealand wishes Sir Douglas Graham well for his retirement, ACT Deputy Leader Ken Shirley said today.
"We reject the comments he made against ACT in his valedictory speech but recognise his genuine and sincere contribution towards the Treaty of Waitangi settlement process which has, of his own omission, come to consume his very being.
"The challenge for the next Government will be the full, fair and final settlement of outstanding legitimate Treaty claims while stopping the open-ended absurdity of nonsensical claims that are being promoted by the self-perpetuating grievance industry," Mr Shirley said.
