Winston Peters anti-superannuitant

The Alliance said Winston Peters was anti-superannuitant with his attack on the Alliance plan to increase superannuation by $20 a week.
'Winston Peters is happy to use superannuitant's votes to allow him to prop up the National government again,' Alliance Leader Jim Anderton said.
'But he won't support proposals to allow for superannuitants to share in the recent tax cuts.
'Winston's attack on the Alliance policy to lift incomes for superannuitants did not even discuss superannuation. It was a straight out attack ignoring the plight of those that have retired on fixed incomes.
'While he was Treasurer he presided over tax cuts that delivered virtually nothing to superannuitants. He could have delivered much more but he never did.
'Winston Peters' track record is clear, he says one thing before the election and does another after the election if he has the opportunity.
'With his attack on raising superannuation today no superannuitant should trust him again,' Jim Anderton said.
