Bills referred to select committees
The Parliamentary Service Bill was referred to the Government Administration Committee. Standing Order 274 enables bills
to be introduced and referred to a select committee with the agreement of the Business Committee, provided that the
House is not due to meet within the next 14 days.

Finance and Expenditure (Nick Aldous, Ainslie Rayner)
The committee will meet on Wednesday 29 September to hear evidence from the Inland Revenue Department on the petition of
Robert Leonard Frederik Snoep. The petition requests that the House of Representatives investigate the taxation
treatment of arms length sharemarket investments in Holland.
Maori Affairs (Jamesa Marino-Fritzsch, Denise Te Karu)
The committee met to consider further the Ngati Turangitukua Claims Settlement Bill, which was referred back to the
committee by the House on 7 September 1999.
