Peters On SFO’s Decision to Pursue Winebox

Published: Thu 26 Aug 1999 01:26 PM
New Zealand First Leader Rt Hon Winston Peters has welcomed the Serious Fraud Office’s decision to investigate further the ‘Magnum’ deals following the High Court decision last Friday:
“I welcome this decision by the Serious Fraud Office, but I am concerned at some of the comments by the Director Mr Bradshaw, since the High Court, the Appeal Court and the Privy Council have already indicated the law relating to this issue.
“For this reason I have today written to Mr Bradshaw, referring him to the appropriate documents (enclosed).
“In the interests of finally seeing justice done, I want to do all I can to help the Serious Fraud Office in its investigations, and will be cooperating in any way I can,” concluded Mr Peters.
