NZ MPs Attending Samoan Minister's Funeral

The Acting Prime Minister today announced details of New Zealand's representation at the funeral of Samoan Minister of Public Works, Luagalau Levaula Kamu.
"The death was a tragic loss both for Samoa and for New Zealand where Minister Luagalau had many friends.
"Hon Murray McCully and Hon Tau Henare will represent New Zealand at the funeral. They will be accompanied by two other representatives National MP Arthur Anae and Labour MP Taito Phillip Field.
"Minister Luagalau had many friends and contacts here. His death is also strongly felt in the Samoan community in New Zealand.
"He also had close personal relationships with a number of MPs.
"The four MPs will be able to personally convey New Zealand's deepest sympathy to the Samoan government and to the family of the deceased Minister."
The funeral will be held at 10am Thursday morning (Samoan time.)
