NEW APPOINTMENT TO LAKELAND HEALTH BOARD
Health Minister Wyatt Creech today announced the appointment of a new member to the board of Lakeland Health Ltd.
Dr Rees Tapsell is the Chair of the Maori Medical Practitioners Association and the head of the Mason Clinic. He is also a member of the Maori Health Commission and the Mental Health Commission.
"In addition to Dr Tapsell's strong clinical background, his iwi affiliation is extremely relevant to the Lakeland community and we look forward to his contribution," Mr Creech said.
Mr Creech said the terms of appointment to the Board of Lakeland Health were being staggered to ensure director's terms did not expire all at once.
