Conspiracy In Maori Affairs Select Committee

Conspiracy In Maori Affairs Select Committee
Conspiracy is rife within the Maori Affairs Select Committee. The respected Cabinet Minister Hon. Georgina Te Heuheu, who has done an excellent job as Chair, is being pushed out.
Waka-jumper Tuku Morgan wants to be the Chair of the committee when it meets this Thursday and a secret deal has been done between Tau Henare and Mrs Shipley to allow this.
The situation is made worse by the Alliance which is allegedly going to support Morgan by either abstaining on the vote for Chair - or not turning up at the meeting at all.
The Alliance has no regard for whom the Maori people voted for in 1996. Our people gave their mandate to New Zealand First - not Morgan, and he has walked away from that mandate.
And what about Labour? Can't they get their coalition partner to toe the line? What kind of team are Maori voters going to get if Labour and Alliance can't agree that Morgan should not be Chair because he has no mandate? And what about Deputy-Chair Dover Samuels who has been left out in the cold?
I am the only mandated Maori Member of Parliament because I am the only member who remained loyal to the party our Maori people voted for - New Zealand First.
