Māori TV Board Appointment Welcomed
I would like to acknowledge and congratulate Kingi Kiriona who has been appointed to the Board of Māori TV said Minister for Māori Development Nanaia Mahuta
I was notified by Te Mātawai that a process had been undertaken to nominate a member who could progress the aspirations of reo revitalisation in a broadcasting environment that is continuing to evolve.
Māori TV has reached its twenty year milestone and is now at a juncture to set a new strategic vision for the way ahead.
Mr Kiriona has broadcasting experience and has also contribute to language development so I am confident that he will make a great contribution to the future resilience and planning currently underway at Māori TV.
