$418,000 - the Cost of Denial
"Children who come before the Ministry of Vulnerable Children are vulnerable," says ACT Leader David Seymour.
"Being vulnerable is not their fault, but denying their vulnerablity won't help beat it.
"It is costing $418,000 to change the name of the Ministry of Vulnerable Children to Oranga Tamariki, so that it can
avoid being reminded why it exists.
"This is not a sign of a Government committed to confronting the challenges faced by children facing abuse and neglect,
but rather on changing stationery to avoid the difficult issues.
