Appointments to Lottery Grants Board and Distribution Committees
Internal Affairs Minister Peter Dunne today announced 21 appointments across the Lottery Grants Board and 11 Lottery distribution committees.
There are three new members and 18 reappointments.
Lottery Distribution Committees make grants for community purposes, using money allocated by the Lottery Grants Board from the profits of New Zealand lotteries. There are nine national committees focused on particular themes or issues and 11 regional committees with a general community focus.
Lottery Grants Board – Ailsa Smaill has been reappointed and Khoa Nguyen has been appointed, as members.
Lottery Community Facilities Committee and Lottery Significant Projects Committee – the two committees share the same membership. Andrew von Dadelszen has been reappointed as a member.
Lottery Community Sector Research Committee – Dr Conway Powell has been reappointed as Presiding Member. Dr Carolyn Cordery, Lorraine Campbell, Graham Smellie and Nan Wehipeihana have been reappointed as members.
Lottery Health Research Committee – Dr Chris Cunningham has been reappointed as Presiding Member and Dr Sarah Young as a member.
Lottery Individuals with Disabilities Committee – Jonathan Darby has been reappointed as Presiding Member, Jim Webber and Rev Canon Timothy Delany have been reappointed as members.
Lottery World War One Commemorations, Environment and Heritage Committee – Te Taru White and Philippa Fourie have been reappointed as members.
Lottery Auckland Community Committee – Ranjna Patel QSM, JP has been reappointed as a member.
Lottery Hawke’s Bay Community Committee – Trish Giddens has been reappointed as a member.
Lottery Waikato Community Committee – Shannon Harnett has been appointed as a member.
Lottery Wellington/Wairarapa Community Committee – Liz Tanielu and Elizabeth Sneyd have been reappointed as members.
Lottery West Coast/Nelson-Marlborough Community Committee – Michael Pugh has been appointed as a member.
“I would like to thank members for their contributions, and welcome the new members who have joined us” said Mr Dunne.
