Nats need for yet more research beggars belief
The Government’s announcement of yet more research on the housing crisis beggars belief given the Government has been in
office for six years, says Labour’s Housing spokesperson Phil Twyford.
“People need houses and they need the Government to take action now, not waste another year or two with yet more
research.
“Increasing land supply is vital to making housing more affordable. That’s why Labour will publish a national policy
statement on affordable housing. It will give clear direction to councils that they must increase land supply for
residential development and speed up consenting,” says Phil Twyford.
