Maori Party statement on Foreign Charter Fishing Vessels Legislation
The Labour Party's accusation that the Maori Party blocked the Foreign Charter Fishing Vessels Legislation from being debated this week is incorrect.
There was no notice of motion put to us on whether the Bill should be read. The Maori Party also did not call for the Bill to be withdrawn, nor did we block leave because leave was not sought.
