Minister announces ACC Board appointments
ACC Minister Judith Collins today announced the appointment of Anita Mazzoleni to the ACC Board, replacing John Meehan.
Ms Mazzoleni is an Auckland-based director with a background in corporate finance roles. She has had Crown governance
experience through positions on the Civil Aviation Authority, Commerce Commission and Industrial Research Ltd.
“I’m pleased to appoint Ms Mazzoleni to the ACC Board. With her corporate finance and governance experience and public
sector awareness, Ms Mazzoleni will bring a great level of skill to the Board,” Ms Collins says.
Ms Collins also announced the reappointment of Jill Spooner to the ACC Board for a second term.
Ms Collins congratulates Ms Mazzoleni and Ms Spooner on their appointments, and thanks John Meehan for his contribution
to the Board during his tenure.
“ACC is one of the most significant organisations in New Zealand. I’m delighted that as a result of these high calibre
appointments, women now make up fifty per cent of the Board.”
Biography
Anita Mazzoleni is an Auckland based director with a background in corporate finance. Her governance experience on the
Civil Aviation Authority, Commerce Commission, Industrial Research Ltd, Ngati Whatua o Orakei and Nga Maunga Whakahii o
Kaipara has included chairing Board audit, risk and finance committees. She has degrees in commerce and law and is a
chartered accountant and solicitor. Ms Mazzoleni is also familiar with the public sector as a Lead Reviewer of the State
Sector Performance Improvement Framework (PIF).
