Broadcasting appointments announced
Broadcasting Minister Craig Foss has today announced new appointments and reappointments to the Boards of Television New Zealand Ltd (TVNZ) and Radio New Zealand Ltd (RNZ).
Julia Raue is being appointed to the Board of TVNZ commencing on 1 May 2014 for a three year term. Joan Withers and Barrie Saunders have been reappointed as directors for further terms.
Melissa Clark-Reynolds is being appointed to the Board of RNZ as a new Governor commencing on 1 May 2014 for a three year term. Chairman, Richard Griffin and Governor, Sheena Henderson, are being reappointed for further terms.
“Today’s appointments will give both boards a combination of continuity of senior governance experience as well as new skills that will assist both TVNZ and RNZ to adapt to a rapidly changing broadcasting scene,” says Mr Foss.
The Minister also thanked retiring RNZ Governor, Rt Hon Paul East CNZM, for his service on the Board since 2008.
