Joyce out of touch with his business mates
Steven Joyce has spent the past five years attacking Labour with his tired old screams of ‘1970s!’ but in the meantime most of his business friends have come around to our way of thinking, says Labour’s Economic Development spokesperson Shane Jones.
“Labour today unveiled its Economic Upgrade for manufacturing. The only person against it is Steven Joyce.
“Not only did the First Union, EPMU, RMTU and CTU support it, so did the NZ Manufacturers’ and Exporters’ Association, Michael Barnett at the Auckland Chamber of Commerce and the Employers’ and Manufacturers’ Association.
“Even Steven Joyce’s best friends at Manufacturing NZ and Business NZ welcomed Labour’s contribution.
“The most shocking endorsement comes from that hotbed of right-wing radicalism, the Taxpayers Union, which said: ‘We like the policy’.
“Steven Joyce’s mates have left him alone in his office yelling like an angry old man. Even his political advisor is ditching him,” Shane Jones says.
