New Zealand First Welcomes September 20 Election
New Zealand First has welcomed the announcement of an early election date of September 20.
“And we will be ready for it,” says New Zealand First leader Rt Hon Winston Peters.
“We believe the country will welcome the early election date because hope is finally within sight.
“We’re mindful of the Prime Minister spending much of his post-cabinet briefing talking about New Zealand First to the press gallery, but we note that he’s never talked to us.
“As we have done for the last twenty years, New Zealand First is going to listen to the New Zealand voters, not political speculation, or wasted air and print time,” says Mr Peters.
