Prime Minister And David Henry Must Front And Explain
Rt. Hon. Winston Peters is calling on the Prime Minister and David Henry to explain serious contradictions in both of their past statements on the GCSB leak inquiry.
“Mr Henry claimed in his report to have received only redacted emails from Peter Dunne. We now know that David Henry received unedited, unredacted emails between Peter Dunne and Andrea Vance.
“The Prime Minister, inside and outside Parliament, has led the public to believe that Mr Henry was operating under serious constraints, without all the information to lead him, as the inquirer, to a final conclusion as to who the leak was.
“We now know that the Prime Minister’s statements were misleading. John Key and Mr Henry must now belatedly front up to explain what really happened.
“One thing is clear. The Prime Minister and his office were far more involved than they have let on to date.”
