Tame Feeling the Love on Valentine’s Day
Te Ururoa Flavell is delighted that Tame Iti has been successful in his parole hearing today.
“Tame tweeted recently that he hoped to receive some love from the parole board – it is awesome that his wish has come true,” says Flavell.
“There is no doubt that Tame has made a significant impact on the inmates that he has worked with in his time in Te Ao Mārama Unit at Waikeria Prison, so I am sure he will be missed by them. However, I know that his whānau will be rapt that he will soon be home in the heart of Tūhoe.”
“The next step is to await the outcome of the Supreme Court as they consider Tame’s appeal. I certainly hope that there is closure for him soon.”
