Green Party expresses sadness for killed soldiers
The Green Party is saddened by the deaths of three New Zealand soldiers in Afghanistan yesterday, and extends its condolences to their families.
“This is tragic news that a further three New Zealand soldiers have been killed in Afghanistan,” said Green Party Co-leader Dr Russel Norman.
“We are deeply saddened by this loss of Kiwi lives in Afghanistan.
“It takes courage to put one’s life on the line, and these soldiers have paid the highest price for their service.
“We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families, friends and communities of the slain soldiers at this very sad time.
“Our thoughts are with those family and friends who are grieving today.”
