Charles Chauvel, Labour List MP based in Ohariu, is sending a survey to over 500 people in the Grenada Village asking
their views on the motorway sign.
“Earlier this year I was contacted by a constituent who asked if the signs on the State Highway near the off and on
ramps to Grenada Village would feature their name”
“Grenada Village is small but growing. I want to know how important a sign change would be for them”
Current signage on the motorway near the ramps feature the adjacent suburbs of Churton Park and Glenside.
“The sign needs to mention Glenside and Churton Park, obviously. But I think that Grenada Village should also be there
and I will be working with the Wellington City Council and the New Zealand Transport Agency to ensure that all three
suburbs are featured on signage”
Surveys will be sent out this week.
