Health Changes Up For Debate

After question time MPs began the third reading debate on the New Zealand Public Health and Disability Amendment Bill.
The bill changes the planning and reporting framework for district health boards (DHB), attempts to get DHBs to work more closely together and allows for greater ministerial direction. The bill also sets up the new Health Quality and Safety Commission and allows elected DHB board members to be appointed to other boards.
