National announces attack on people who work for a living
John Key has today announced a stinging attack on people who work for a living, Labour’s spokesperson for Labour, Trevor Mallard said today.
“Changes to New Zealand’s labour laws, announced by John Key at the National Party conference, are being characterised as anti union. But these changes go much further.
“The changes are designed to suppress wages and reduce working conditions including holidays for all workers whether or not they are union members.
“Remember Key’s promise to close the wage gap with Australia – this policy will do exactly the opposite. It is a sign of Key dropping the “Mr Nice Guy” approach and reverting to old form.”
