Labour Party candidate selections well underway for 2011
Labour Party selections for electorate candidates to contest the 2011 general election are well underway.
The following candidates now been confirmed to stand for the Labour Party in these electorate seats:

The Labour Party has confirmed that selections will occur over July and August in the following electorates where more
than one nomination has been received:
• Northcote Paula Gillon, Richard Hills
• Te Tai Tonga Joanne McLean, Rino Tirikatene
Labour Party President Andrew Little says that the electorate nominations show a good mix of experienced MPs, plus up
and coming talent.
“Labour is well placed with a strong and dedicated party organisation and an excellent selection of candidates to win in
2011 and deliver a government focused on the real issues facing New Zealand” says Mr Little.
The Party plans to have all remaining electorate candidates for 2011 selected by the end of the year.
