Congratulations to the All Whites
The All Whites deserve our heartfelt congratulations for their dramatic win yesterday which has left New Zealanders
extremely proud of their historic victory, says Labour Leader Phil Goff.
“I had the privilege to be at the Wellington stadium to watch the game and like the rest of the crowd, spent every
moment on the edge of my chair.
“The atmosphere was charged and the crowd’s support no doubt spurred on the New Zealand team,” says Phil Goff.
“But the real accolades belong to the team, coach Ricki Herbert and all the administrators and others who have
participated in this long journey to get New Zealand back into one of the world’s biggest sporting events for the first
time since 1982.
“New Zealanders are passionate about their sport and are incredibly proud of you. This was a well-deserved win,
congratulations!”
