Horomia has nothing to say on budget
Hon Dr Pita Sharples, Maori Party Co-leader 27 May 2009
"How sad that Labour's Maori Affairs spokesperson has so little to talk about on the eve of the budget,” said Maori Affairs Minister Dr Pita Sharples.
"It's obvious Labour just lost their main angle of attack on the budget, and Mr Horomia is desperately trying to salvage some media coverage.
"Of course, for everyone else, the big story on Budget Day will be what the Government delivers.
"I'm pleased to be back for the big day, to make some of the best announcements.
"When Mr Horomia sees how much is in the budget for Maori, he will be quite lost for words,” said Dr Sharples.
