Winston Peters Should Put Up Or Shut Up
Rodney Hide MP
Saturday, August 30 2008
ACT Leader Rodney Hide today called on New Zealand First Leader Winston Peters to make public the document that is lawyer Peter Williams says will clear his name.
"According to Peter Williams, the document has satisfied Prime Minister Helen Clark and would satisfy the Serious Fraud Office at their 10am meeting this morning," Mr Hide said
"Mr Peters says he can clear the matters up in five minutes.
"I challenge Winston Peters to release the document - after all, he has been promising an explanation to the public and to Parliament for months, but nothing has ever been forthcoming. He owes the public an explanation and the document would be a good start.
"Winston Peters should put up or shut up. His bluff and bluster is both tiresome and embarrassing," Mr Hide said.
