Over 2500 emails in Greens' ETS inbox
The Green Party has received over 2500 emails on its forthcoming ETS decision in the four days since it asked for public input, and they are still flooding in at a rate of about 2 a minute.
Last Thursday, the Green Party asked for the public to email their thoughts on the ETS negotiations so far, and whether they think the gains achieved by the Green Party outweigh the things that have not seen any progress.
"We have received more opinions than any select committee I've been part of," Green Party Co-Leader Jeanette Fitzsimons says.
"We have had submissions from Green Peace members, from farmers and farming businesses, from Forest and Bird members, from Church groups, as well as Green Party supporters and many, many non-affiliated individuals.
"The most universal feedback we've been receiving is 'thanks for asking us'.
"The Green Party caucus hopes to make a decision on whether or not we will be supporting the ETS tomorrow. Once that decision is made public, we will contact people who've submitted and outline our reasons for our decision."
The Green Party hopes to make their decision public tomorrow.
