Two new ACC board members appointed
ACC Minister Maryan Street today welcomed the appointment of Ngaruma (Ruma) Karaitiana and Sara Lunam to the board of ACC.
“Ruma Karaitiana is the Chief Executive of the Building and Construction
Industry Training Organisation and has direct experience of operating businesses with a large number of staff, and implementing health, safety and injury prevention policies and processes within them. Ruma is an active member of Rangitane o Manawatu and is involved in a number of governance roles within its structure.”
“Sara Lunam is a business strategy consultant with 20 years executive management experience in the transport and logistics industries and also has wide ranging governance experience. Sara is currently a director of New Zealand Post Ltd and the New Zealand Merino Company Limited and is the Chair of the World Netball Championships Board. Sara has a very keen interest in workplace safety and injury prevention and currently chairs the Health & Safety committee of the NZ Post Board.”
Maryan Street thanked outgoing board members Brenda Tahi and Gregory Fortuin for their contributions to the board.
ACC board members are appointed for three years, with the opportunity to be re-appointed for a further three years.
